FREE petunias for schools

THE theme for our Grow Your Own Flowers And Cut Flowers schools' display at the Chelsea Flower Show next May is red, white and blue - to celebrate Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee.

In early March, school children from Banbury will be planting up a 3m x 2m blooming Union Jack with cuttings of the three colours of Petunia Fanfare. This flowering flag will hang on the back wall of our Miracle Gro'wers exhibit.

Now we need 50 schools that are prepared to grow single pots of this petunia to go into flower beds at the base of the flag. Selected schools will get five nicely rooted cuttings of each colour (15 plants in all).

The cuttings will need potting up into 9cm pots, filled with a good potting compost that the schools will need to supply.        Read More
